Dr Leveana Gyimah is a psychiatrist and the clinical coordinator at Pantang Hospital. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Ghana School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2008 and membership in psychiatry from the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2016. She gained a postdoctoral position at Yale School of Public Health under the Global Health Equity Scholars 2017/18 Fellowship year where she undertook a study at the Mount Horeb Prayer Camp in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Her research interest is in the area of clinical care, mental health policy, perinatal and primary prevention in Mental Health. She is a clinical instructor for health trainees on psychiatric rotation at Pantang Hospital including residents in psychiatry, medical students etc. she is consultant to the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG) in the area of mental health. She has facilitated a number of mental health related workshops and trainings for churches, Ghana Health Service and various health training institutions.

Dr. Gyimah is a recipient of a Hero’s Plaque and Grand Medal (Honorary Division) from the Republic of Ghana for her contribution to the fight against the Ebola Virus Disease epidemic in the West African Sub- Region in 2015.
